Third-Party Service Providers: We may share your information with third-party vendors, service providers, contractors, or agents who perform services for us or on our behalf and require access to such information to do that work.

Cookies & Tracking

At Blogical, we use browser cookies and similar technologies to identify and remember returning users to our Services. These technologies serve various purposes, including authenticating users, preserving user preferences such as language settings, assessing the impact of our emails, supporting the functionality of our metered paywall, and tailoring content and other services to user needs. Our metered paywall relies on these cookies, making them a crucial component of Blogical’s core functionality.

Blogical saves data about the URLs you Save to Blogical (an optional feature that you may choose to use or decline to use), but we do not otherwise track your visits or activities off Blogical Services. We track your interactions within the Blogical Services (which encompasses Blogical.org, custom domains hosted by Blogical, and your interactions with other applications of Blogical).

Please note that some external services we employ to deliver our Service, like Google Analytics, may set their own cookies in your browser. This Privacy Statement is specific to the usage of cookies by Blogical and does not encompass the cookie usage by any third parties.

Data Security

We use encryption (HTTPS/TLS) to protect data transmitted to and from our site. However, no data transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, so we can’t guarantee security. You use the Service at your own risk, and you’re responsible for taking reasonable measures to secure your account.

Data Retention

We retain your personal data linked to your account for the duration your account is active. Upon closing your account, we will remove your account data within a 14-day period. Other personal data is kept for the necessary time to achieve the objectives for which it was initially gathered, and to comply with our legal, regulatory, and other business-related requirements.

Third-Party Embeds

Some of the content displayed on Blogical is not hosted by Blogical itself. These “embeds” are hosted by third-party services and integrated into Blogical pages, making them appear as part of our site. Examples include YouTube or Vimeo videos, Imgur or Giphy gifs, SoundCloud audio files, Twitter tweets, GitHub code snippets, or Scribd documents within a Blogical article. When you interact with these files, data is sent to the host site as if you were visiting that site directly. For instance, viewing a Blogical article with an embedded YouTube video sends data to YouTube, like your IP address and view duration.

Blogical doesn’t control the data collection or use by these third parties. Therefore, third-party embeds on Blogical are governed by the privacy policies of these services, not by Blogical’s Privacy Policy. For example, your interaction with a YouTube video on Blogical falls under YouTube’s privacy policy.

Be cautious with embeds asking for personal information, such as email addresses, through a form linked from a Blogical post. While we strive to prevent misuse by third parties, we cannot control their actions once you provide your information. This falls outside Blogical’s Privacy Policy, so we advise understanding who you're sharing your information with and their intended use of it. We recommend against submitting personal data through these embedded forms.

When posting on Blogical, embedding forms for collecting personal information is not allowed. Instead, you must link to an offsite page for such submissions. This page should clearly differ from Blogical to prevent confusion about the recipient of personal information. Non-compliance may lead Blogical to remove the post or take actions against your account.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the “last updated” date.
