Woman Killed In Ukrainian Drone Strike — Belgorod region

Officials stated on June 7th, a Ukrainian drone strike killed a woman in the southwestern Russia’s Belgorod region.

“The armed forces of Ukraine have launched another terrorist attack,” Belgorod region Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov wrote on Telegram.

A kamikaze drone had struck the car with 3 family members inside, they were travelling in the border village Novopetrovka which is just outside eastern Ukraine’s Kharkiv region.

This region has been under heavy fire, Moscow troops conducted ground offensive in the area early last month.

“A couple and their adult daughter were in the car during the attack. The unthinkable happened, their daughter died from her injuries before an ambulance could arrive,” Gladkov said.

The father was hospitalized, he has shrapnel wounds & his legs are broken. The mother was hospitalized with shrapnel wounds to her face & chest.

Russia’s Defense Ministry has said their air defense forces had shot down 28 Ukrainian drones over Russian territory overnight, 2 drones were shot down in Belgorod region.

It’s been estimated at least 248 civilians have been killed in Russia since the beginning of the war in February 2022, 186 were residents of Belgorod region.
